Discover the Outaouais Public Markets
Croquez l’été, croquez les marchés!
The Table agroalimentaire de l’Outaouais (TAO), together with 17 public markets in the region, is celebrating the return of summer and market season! With the campaign Croquez l’été, croquez les marchés!, the TAO aims to promote public markets.
From May to October, it invites Outaouais eaters to dive into their world. True crossroads of encounters and flavours, public markets are more than points of sale; they help weave connections between residents, visitors, farmers, and other agri-food creators, creating a vibrant space for exchange. They are the ideal place to discover and savour the richness of our terroir while enjoying a lively atmosphere.
Each public market offers a unique experience where abundance, freshness, and quality come together. While food plays a central role in our lives, we often know little about the reality of those who grow, raise, and transform what we eat. Public markets therefore become places of learning and connection with our food systems. In a context where environmental and health concerns increasingly influence our choices, they highlight products that are respectful of ecosystems and good for our well-being. A wonderful way to consume more consciously!
Here are the member markets participating in the campaign, bringing together more than a hundred agricultural and agri-food businesses:
