Repeat on other side.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove chops from skillet and place in large crock pot.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In same skillet, add onions and garlic. Saut\u00e9 over medium-high heat until tender.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deglaze with red wine and reduce by half. Reserve sauce for serving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add broth, red wine vinegar, honey, bay leaves, and peppercorns to slow cooker.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until chops are very tender.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Anna Potatoes<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat your oven to 400\u00b0F (200\u00b0C).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slice the potatoes into coin-thickness using a mandolin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a small saucepan, melt the butter with the fresh thyme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In an ovenproof skillet, arrange the potato slices in a circle, overlapping them slightly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Season each layer with salt and pepper and brush with the melted butter mixture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Repeat the process until all the slices are used or the skillet is full.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the potatoes are golden and tender.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before turning the skillet out onto a cutting board.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn out onto a cutting board and slice into desired size.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Braised carrots with honey<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat your oven to 200\u00b0C (400\u00b0F).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut the carrots into sticks of about 2 inches by \u00bc inch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In an ovenproof skillet, heat a drizzle of oil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sear the carrots over medium-high heat until they are nicely colored. Season with salt and pepper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deglaze with white wine, add 1 tablespoon of butter and bake for 10 minutes or until the carrots are tender.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Just before serving, return the skillet to medium-high heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the honey and the remaining butter until everything is hot.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A whole variety of honey is available in Outaouais thanks to our local producers and processors!
