One Click Away from a 100% RegionalGrocery Store!
The Marché de l’Outaouais (MDO) solidarity cooperative, created in 2008, brings together 2,000 regional products that it makes accessible to the population: meat products (meats and poultry), market gardeners and processed, and products and household maintenance. Thus, it supports the regional economy and the revitalization of our region, and it encourages local businesses. Also, it brings its 2,000 members closer to its 60 producers.
The cooperative consists of a store – with a storefront: Marché de l’Outaouais, 71, rue Eddy, Gatineau (Québec) J8X 2W1 – and an online public market. For the online public market, you must be a member. Membership costs $ 25, but you’re a click away from a 100% regional grocery store! From Friday to Monday, you choose your products of the week which you will collect from Thursday.
Tuesday and Wednesday; the products are picked, cooked and selected by the producers, and identified. On Thursday, in the morning, they are sent to the store. A team of volunteers classifies them … and you can collect your basket!
