The Table de concertation agroalimentaire de l’Outaouais (TCAO) is pleased to announce the next Regional Agri-Food Gala – the Soirée Action-Valorisation – which will be held on March 27, 2010 in Gatineau. For the past 20 years now, the Soirée Action-Valorisation has been paying tribute to the agriculture and agri-food sector of the Outaouais region.

The presentation of the Érard-Seguin Prize is the pinnacle of the evening. This award recognizes the exceptional career path of an outstanding personality in the Outaouais region’s agriculture and agri-food sector. For the past several years, the Gala has also been an opportunity to present other awards to spotlight excellence in the Outaouais. A $2000 “Sur les traces d’Érard Seguin” (in Érard Seguin’s footsteps) award recognizes a young agri-food enterprise, while a $1000 “Innovation” award is given for an innovative agri-food project.

This gala is meant to be a rallying event for the region’s agri-food sector. In this regard the TCAO is proud to be able to count on the collaboration of the Centre de formation professionnelle Relais-de-la-Lievre Seigneurie, who will host the Gala for the second time. Under the supervision of Chef Gaëtan Tessier, students in the region’s hotel and restaurant training option will serve the traditional banquet with a regional flavour. With the help of his team, his talent will guarantee a gastronomic experience well worth waiting for.
