2019-2024 Outaouais Biofood Development Plan

Through its concertation and coordination mandates in the regional biofood sector, the Table agroalimentaire de l’Outaouais (TAO) recently launched the elaboration of the 2019-2024 Outaouais Bio-food Development Plan. It will take in account the results of the 2013-2018 Agrifood Strategic Planning for the Outaouais. The main goal is to renew and adapt the plan to the sector’s present concerns and realities. The importance of such a plan is rooted in the sector’s high potential, particularly in terms of rural-urban complementarity, regional economic diversification and dynamic land use.

As part of the process of elaboration of the new Outaouais biofood sector strategic planning, we request your participation, through a questionnaire, to identify issues that affect producers and/or food processorsretailers, restaurant owner and/or caterers, stakeholders and consumers, and take note of your vision for the sector’s development.

This planning, which is complementary to the Agricultural Zone Development Plans (PDZA), is carried out by the Table agroalimentaire de l'Outaouais (TAO) in collaboration with a committee composed of various sectoral stakeholders. The project is funded by the ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation under the program Territoires : Priorités bioalimentaires.  The importance of such a plan is rooted in the sector’s high potential, particularly in terms of rural-urban complementarity, regional economic diversification and dynamic land use.
